This series of photographs was taken at the shore of the Atlantic Ocean, near Lisbon in Portugal, in a place popular with surfers, where unceasing wind and waves define the everchanging character of the shoreland. The artist took photographs of common beach objects, like rods holding wind shelters, trash cans, and other real-life structures, not creating anything special and not altering the environment, but trying to catch the suprematist nature of the visual image in the play of shapes, colours and shadows.
